Intel Unveils Meteor Lake Desktop CPUs at Computex 2025

At Computex 2025 in Taipei today, Intel lifted the curtain on its next-generation Meteor Lake desktop processors. Built on a 4nm process and featuring a novel hybrid core design, these CPUs promise up to 20% better performance-per-watt compared to the previous generation. Integrated AI acceleration is now standard, allowing creators and gamers to offload on-device inference tasks without a dedicated GPU.

Intel demonstrated real-world benchmarks showing smooth 4K video edits and sustained high frame rates in demanding titles. The company expects Meteor Lake desktop chips to hit retail shelves by Q4 2025, aiming to reclaim leadership in the high-end desktop market. Enthusiasts can look forward to unlocked “K” series models for overclocking and a refreshed motherboard lineup with PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 enhancements.
